With a background as a Technical Specialist, Jon brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to IndyAlt. His passion for aviation led him to build aircraft such as the RV-10, RV-6, and Sonerai, providing him with invaluable insights into the needs of both aircraft builders and pilots. It is this firsthand experience that drives our commitment to delivering top-notch alternator solutions.

Our journey began in 2003 when Jon, after building an RV-6, embarked on a mission to develop lightweight and cost-effective alternator kits exclusively for Lycoming boss mount engines. Over the years, through countless panel upgrades and experimental installations, IndyAlt has emerged as a pioneer in the field of experimental aircraft alternators.

I am thrilled that you're here! My name is Jon, I am the founder of IndyAlt an Experimental Aircraft Alternator Manufacturer based in Indiana. As both an IA and an A&P, my journey in aviation has been nothing short of exhilarating.

With a background as a Technical Specialist, I have years of experience aviation. I've had the privilege of building RV-10, RV-6, and a Sonerai. This hands-on experience has provided invaluable insights into the needs of aircraft builders and pilots, driving our dedication to providing top-notch alternator solutions.
I created IndyAlt with the idea of pushing the boundaries of experimental Aviation, providing reliable and high-performance alternators that enhance safety, efficiency, and performance for pilots and aircraft builders alike.
